My mother-in-law is an amazing person, and I’m blessed to have such a wonderful friend. She moved in with us in June to help out with my husband. During this time, we’ve cooked great meals, and baked some delicious dishes. We also share a love for photography. During this time, we celebrated her birthday, and Mom wanted a birthday photo shoot. I was happy to oblige.
Now, I don’t have a studio in the apartment so we turned the patio into a studio. We taped a backdrop to one of the walls, and we used the black v-flat that I made as a backdrop as well. The white v-flat was used to bounce light back into the frame. We shot using OCF as well as available light. The entire session was about 30 minutes, and we grabbed some great images. I included Mom on the culling session so that she could select her favorites. I didn’t edit the images in my normal fashion because Mom said that it wasn’t her. I could appreciate that. Here are some of my favorites from the session.
