Over the last month, I scheduled three separate Time for Print Sessions. The last one that I did was with a model/photographer name Dominique. She responded to my Time for Print post. Actually, I received several responses to my post, and it was difficult to choose a model. I selected Dominique because I liked her look. We scheduled our session for August 8 in downtown Austin. I chose the same area that I used for the session with Allisa, but I knew that I would change my perspective. I also decided to change the wardrobe. Initially, I was going to use the same outfit that I had Allisa wear. However, when I looked in my closet, I saw the dress that I had worn several years ago. I photographed another model in it a few years ago, and I wanted to capture it again.
We met in the morning when the light was still soft. We started with the black and white dress. As we walked along, I saw this great wall with rectangular “windows” on it. I liked the geometry and the color of the wall.
Once we finished with at the wall, we walked over to this great yellow wall. I wanted to wait until the sun was a little higher in the sky before using it. I knew that the yellow would pop even more.
Once we finished with the dress, we switched to the black tube dress, Converse shoes, and a blue jean jacket. I brought one of my statement necklaces to add a little glam to the look. We found this amazing mural, and I had Dominique pose in front of it.
As we made are way back to our cars, I had her pose at the same location that I photographed Allisa at the week before, but in a different area. You would never know that it was the same location.
