A Rainy Day Shoot

Last month, I rented a pants suit from Lael Collections for a photo shoot.  It was scheduled to arrive the second weekend, but we were hit with an ice storm here in Central Texas.  The suit showed up the following weekend so I contacted Julie, the model who was going to wear it, and scheduled a session with her.  I decided to shoot in Downtown Austin because this suit needed an urban backdrop.

It was raining the day of the session.  I was so disappointed, but I pivoted.  We would shoot in a parking garage!  When the model arrived, the rain ended.  We moved to the sidewalk, and it was perfect.  The shoot was totally different from what I photographed before, and it made me long to shoot after a rain shower again.

We shot near the Central Library which is one of my favorite areas. I’m so pleased with how these images turned out.
