Fall has arrived in Central Texas. The mornings are cooler, and there’s less humidity. The time for sweaters and boots is fast approaching, and I am here for it. Experiencing some semblance of fall weather is one of the things that I enjoy about living in here. I’ve been able to wear sweaters and boots longer. However, with COVID-19 still prevalent, I don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to wear those items.
The morning of this session was perfect! There was a slight mist in the air and dew on the grass. There was also a slight nip in the air. The temperature was in the 60’s, but I was cold! LOL! I guess that Arizona is still in my blood. The location of the session was Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. I scouted the location two weeks before the session, and I knew that it would be perfect. I rented the Chanel dress from Lael Rentals for the session. I found my model, Calebrahttps://instagram.com/calebra_monet?igshid=1uhzy0l318g3j, in one of my local Facebook groups. The concept for the session was a Vogue-like feel. The flowy dress was the perfect contrast for the buildings and old farm equipment.
Calebra and I had the place to ourselves for the session. We started shooting in front of the Palm Mansion, and then moved to an area with the cabins. I used my Godox AD200 with a modifier for most of the shoot, but there were images where I utilized the sun. Calebra was a pleasure to shoot, and didn’t need a lot of direction. She’s an established model, and was signed with Wilhelmina models. I was her first session in 7 months!
Here’s to the fall weather, and a successful completion of “Chanel in the Park”!
