Fairy Tales Do Come True

The month of September was a busy one for me with regards to personal projects.  I arranged the photo shoot for the National Black Female Photographers’ Day, and I scheduled a personal shoot using a dress that I rented from “Home Gown Rentals” here in Austin.  

When I saw the dress on Home Gown Rentals Instagram, I knew that I had to photograph someone in the dress.  It’s in one of my favorite colors, purple, and it was just so girly!  I put out a model call, and Shraddha responded.  She was one of many models interested in sitting for me, and I really liked her look.  I sent her the mood board for the session.  The location of the shoot was at the Charmed Life Photography’s greenhouse.  I wanted a soft and romantic look for the session, and this location lent itself to my vision.

The session was scheduled for 4:00 PM, and it was HOT.  I wasn’t prepared for the sun still being so high in the sky!  It beamed directly into the greenhouse, but the light was AMAZING!  Being behind the camera again was amazing, and I cannot wait to schedule more projects!
