I wasn’t 100% sure that I would offer Holiday Mini Sessions for 2023. I’ve been in rebuilding mode all year. I joined Dr. Tomayia C. Colvin’s Ignite Program to build my business the correct way. For too long, like many business owners, I had been winging. Watching YouTube videos, reading articles, and piecing together. I finally had enough and decided to invest in myself. It was the best money that I had ever spent.
So why am I saying all of this? It was because of the confidence that I gained in the Ignite program, I felt confident that I could run a successful mini session program. My systems were in place, and my favorite studio was available. I ran my Holiday Sessions are little earlier than other photographers, but I was okay with this fact. See, I have a major birthday coming up in December, and I wanted to make sure that I had enough time to edit my clients’ images. I ran an Instagram Ad and posted every day for two weeks.
My client, Carla D, booked me for a session. I was so thrilled when she told me that my Instagram Ad came across her feed! The hard work that I put in on SEO and advertising paid off! I also met her requirements in a photographer. My CRM, Sprout Studio, provided an informative and seamless booking process for her. Let me tell you that I was thrilled to hear this from her.
The day of the session, Carla arrived early, but I was ready for her. The room was set-up. Although the room was all white and had two large windows, I brought my large reflector just in case fill light was needed. I’m so glad that I had it. It was a cloudy day, and the sun was playing peekaboo with the clouds. Although I reserved one room, we had the entire studio to ourselves! I had Christmas Tunes playing, and they set the mood for the session. Fifteen minutes doesn’t seem like a long time, but I already knew the poses that I would use. We not only used the Holiday room, but the second holiday set-up as well.
