Sarahwas the second model who sat for my Spanish Harlem project. She responded to my post in one of the local photography groups. We scheduled to meet on August 18 in the morning. Our session was in the same area that I photographed Diêlha. I wanted the same theme, and I wanted to see what Sarah would bring to the session. She told me that she was getting back to modeling. Sarah didn’t disappoint. Her vibe was different and just as intense as the model from the day before. This worked perfectly for the vision that I saw for this project.
Although, I used the same location as my backdrop, I used different lighting. I used the ambient light, and the walls of the building provided great fill light. However, I some of the frames I used a speed light with a grid. I wanted the focus to be Sarah, and I wanted drama. It was perfect. My intention is to use different lighting for each of the sessions. So far, I’m being true to my vision.
Stay tuned for the blog post of my session with Jasmine, a fellow photographer who also sat for this project.
